Cirrus Jet came to town a few weeks ago... Test crew let me climb all over the thing... Pretty sweet.

Single engine jets are wild. I can't see insurance letting charter companies use the Cirrus Jet a whole lot.
But I can see a lot of current Cirrus owners buying one and transitioning to jets fairly easily.

Does it have the same parachute that the SR-22 has?

Looks like a blow out on the mains could cause some gear door issues.

    Reminds me of this.

I agree with the independently wealthy part. Getting the hours for being hired as a helicopter pilot is pricey.
Pretty much all pilot jobs pay poorly in the beginning. Regional airlines start at about 15-25k a year. Corporate starts at about 40-48k a year.
I don't fly helicopters so other people's advice that operate them is more than welcome.

The school I linked above has a guy training 4ish days a week 2 to 4 hours a day (8 to 16 hours a week at >=$250hr) and not sure about the rest of you guys but, in the beginning, I was NOT okay with flying that much. I'm pretty low stress (ultra low) guy but, it really did take the juice right out of me.

I think $250 hour is way out of line, never heard of anyone charging that much.

Most the schools I've seen are getting ~ $250/hr for the Robinson. Kinda why I'd be looking for someone I knew with a whop whop. 2 pax aeroplanes are way cheaper to rent.

That is a ton of money and I believe you. I only know about the fixed wing stuff.
