Yup. The Hawks are well loaded for the playoff run.

The Leafs moved Cowan to waivers today as well. I don't quite understand, but apparently if he makes it through waivers a team can trade for him then keep him there for 30 days and gain a $650,000 cap "bonus" or something. I wonder if the Leafs have a partner for such a deal and that's why they aren't saying anything.

The Oilers were hanging on for dear life. And the ducks weren't even pouring it on. Talbot was the only reason it wasn't 7-1 for the ducks.
Similar reasons for the results against the LA.

 

Ha, I know it's frustrating but there is no shame losing a couple 2-1 games. Taking Ducks to OT is not hanging on for dear life.

 

I'm not sure I agree with this. Then again with the way the Leafs have treated him I'm pretty sure Reimer wasn't coming back next year anyways so you have to try to get some return for him.

I thought he might get more. Reimer played like a top 15 number one this year. If he gets hot he'll be a big bonus to San Jose.

Wideman Decision Not For Another Week

By the time the appeal process is complete Wideman will have served at least 17 games of the 20 game suspension. Kind of negates the purpose an appeal when the NHL can just drag it out until the suspension is nearly over anyway.
