Depending when your coming? Rose parade would be nice, Universal city walk, Hollywood, and of course a Laker game. You can drive to Las Vegas, San Diego, San Francisco.

SAN DIEGO. You won't be disappointed. Go to vacation rentals by owner vrbo.com and search house/condo rentals on mission beach. You can fly into san diego, rent a car and travel down to mexico...or up to anaheim to disney...or to hollywood. So much to do and the weather is perfect. I have traveled a lot of places and san diego is my favorite spot!:)

I recommend Santa Barbara, cool tours, you can scuba dive, ride bikes on the beach, windsurf, nice downtown area to shop and dine, go horseback riding for cheap, visit the mission, and there are some nice bed and breakfasts in the area if you guys are into that.

That could be a lot of fun but I still recommend trying to go down to San Diego, you can fly home from the airport right in Downtown SD.

I may be biased, but I came to San Diego on a vacation 5 years ago to see old college buddies.........after extending my vacation to 3 weeks from 1 week and interviewing for jobs I moved here 1 month later.

    Yeah its that much fun!

San Diego has a ton to do for vacations; Sea World, Wild Animal Park, SD Zoo, Balboa Park (tons of Museums), Lego Land, Beach Towns, and Great food/nightlife.

San Diego is awesome, get a hotel in the gaslamp district. It won't cost an arm and leg like a beach house will.
