My dealership quoted me 1 1/2 hours to program a smart key for my 2016 TRD. I think I'm getting jammed... Anyone in the area know a less costly or fair price to get it programed ?

    Thanks..

Most places should charge only 1/2hr. Any more any they are totally ripping you off, unless you lost all the keys.
    Where in Mass are you?

I have a 05 Tacoma basic, went to ACE got a key for $1.50. Maybe you should just change ignition locks!

Mass Pike and 495... I heard the key drop it in the truck, I was in a hurry so I left the truck unlocked, when I returned it started right up. So the key had to be in the truck, right ? A week later I found a second key that the salesman tossed in the glovebox in an envelope that signal was starting the truck, mystery solved. What did you pay for programming ?

I work at a dealer in western mass. I think its around $45 for a key program. We get 1/2 for programming or 1 hr if all keys are lost and need to reseed the system. 1hr 1/2 just for programming is absolute robbery.

check out Olathe toyota 866-596-1970 I've done business with them for years. I bought my FOB from them for $124.69 this week. My dealership is quoting me $115 to program it... 'PinkTaco' $45 sound a lot better, us Pilgrims need to stick together....so could you divulge your programming source ? ;{>

Where in Western Mass are you located? Cause in Boston Area so far I am looking at upwards of $350-400 (190 key, 130 program, 60 labor) after its all said and done w/ labor included. I really do not want to pay that much, its a complete rip!!! Help please.

Are they cutting the laser cut key as well? That's where the additional labor may come from, we have to order them already cut. I can check and see on prices though to compare.
