I did for the 16...which was considerably better than 1500 off.... BUT paying cash isn't necessarily going to get you the best discount. It will be the best deal at the end of the day, but you can actually get better deals if they are getting finance points off of you as well. Not that I would choose it.

$1000 off MSRP is the "best deal"? do you mean invoice?

Funny how you guys are talking about ordering at your dealer. I was talking to some people at my dealer and they didn't even hear about a TRD Pro Tacoma. I was like you didn't see the release? "no" Did you know it comes in a new color? "no...?"

Mine hadn't heard of it either but they asked the Toyota rep. and we're happy to take my deposit.

    A few with more coming
I won't be waiting - as far as I'm concerned the pro really only adds a few more bells and whistles and when I mod mine I want to feel free to do it how I want, if I get a Pro, there will always be that side of me that's like - is this going to decrease the value? I plan on keeping the truck 10-15 years and probably starting my retirement business with it - and then start building Off-road based builds and custom builds so the truck will then become a beat up turd from rocks and being ran around the country to crawl etc. So with that in mind - the 2k more when I go to sell it - if something was to happen and I had to - is not worth the feeling of messing up a limited production vehicle for me. I have had some limited production vehicles in the past and I modded them - only to regret it when it came time to sell them as they lost value etc.

I really want the TRD Off-road as it's a very good base to start with - but honestly wiht my plans if there is a 6 speed DBCBSB availiable and I don't have to order - then I could see me getting that - I would prefer to have the bumpers color matched but that's an easy fix if it doesn't work out - and lockers front and rear are not to bad - can do myself would just like to have a warranted locker;-) Of course I live in Flat Florida and have to travel to Ocala and Hard Rock ORV to get into fun stuff, but soon "have truck, will travel" will apply again:)

I purchased a Tacoma to make it my own. The build process is part of the fun in my opinion. The TRDPro is a sexy truck no doubt, but I am very happy with my OR. I consider it to be in its first generation build phase now, and down the road I will likely upgrade to new parts again. No point in me spending even more for the Pro only to put new parts on it. It's an awesome stock truck though.

For the gentleman who likes things stock, it's pretty sweet to get these features and looks. It will be intestinting to see the cost over OR.

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like the color choices for the pro. I want the silver sky metallic, but would have also taken the inferno, blue, or black. So no Pro for me.

Has anyone seen if the TRD exhaust is standard on the PRO model?
