BALL JOINTS i need some info

    i am wanting to put aftermarket ball joint... and id like to put the MOOG ball joints in... but it seems that the lower joints one MOOG has is a bolt on am i right?? but my truck has pressed in lower ball joints... can anyone help me with this problem...

    yah they are making noise wen offroading its been like that 4 a while now and its getting worse..even my tie rod end on the same side has a tear in the dust cover so i will b changing that as well. i have these cheep ball joints from ebay...got them 4 a steal but i want some good quality ones...no matter the price i rather pay the price then get stuck n broken down! i would like to know if other peoples trucks have pressed in lower ball joints or bolted?

    hmmm most trucks that i have seen have pressed in joints....scratching my head on y MOOG supplies our trucks with bolted? does any one have MOOG joints on their 2 gen?

    how bout if anyone picked up the joints off ebay?? and if u did any problems?

    When I had my lower ball joints replaced last year it was a dealer item only, and you had to buy the whole complete control arm as the BJ wasn't available separate. Then you had to buy new control arm bushings, alignment cams and bolts, etc. It is a very expensive procedure.

    I don't know if the aftermarket supports our trucks yet.Best to take the truck and your new BJ to your mechanic for further information.
