Decided to finally install the UltraGauge I bought a month ago. I hadn't done it yet because I was planning on mounting and running the cable up the A pillar, which would require disconnecting the battery to avoid possible airbag sensor tripping. I didn't want to disconnect the battery without first jotting down all of my custom head unit settings. Well, plan B. Saved myself the hassle and just mounted it over the TRD Sport's blank switch covers, next to the USB/AUX input. Took 5 minutes. I ran the cable into the cubbie on the right side of the steering wheel, then between the bottom of the steering column and the cover. No cutting, had to remove nothing and the cable isn't seen. Used the vertical mount from UltraGauge and just trimmed it down to 1.5" x 2", the size of the two switch blanks. The buttons on the rear of the UltraGauge are easily accessible and I left plenty of extra cable in the cubbie. Very happy with it. Easy for me to read, yet not easily seen from outside, especially with tinted windows.

Did you just tape everything once apart, spray it, and glue back together?

Not too much. Definitely requires a CMC and a bit of trimming on the fender. There is still a little bit of rubbing, but it isn't to bad.
