Yes there are tons of forums on 5100's but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for after searching. Looks like a lot of people that are running 5100's set at 1.75 in the front can fit 265 70 17's. However......I'm concerned about rubbing on the frame with that setup. Is there anyone that can confirm that the tires don't rub on the frame or fenders with this setup? Appreciate it!

You will be fine. If anything, you might just need to remove the front mud flaps...

Thanks! I've already removed the mud flaps on mine the day I brought it home.

I have 265/70/17 tires on my truck with stock suspension. No rubbing at all. BTW I have the Hankook Dynopro ATM. I know certain AT tires will rub.

My local Walmart. $832 and change for the set. That includes the tires, state tire fees, taxes, etc.

That price included the install of the tires as well but since I haven't taken my lift and current wheels/tires off I just had them put the tires on the wheels and throw them in the back of my truck.

Why are you removing your lift?

Don't need it or use it. I don't do any wheeling. The extent of off road use my truck see's is sugar sand and some dirt road trails to get to some fishing spots. Not to mention we are getting ready to purchase a travel trailer so having that extra 2 or 3 miles to the gallon back will make a difference.

I'm running those same 265 70 17 Wrangler Authorities on 5100's set at 1.75 on a 0 offset 17x8 rim, and I only had to removed the small mudflap in front of the front wheels, all other 4 mudflaps are fine. Just a little occasional rub when front wheels are fully turned and truck flexes down on a good bump, doesn't happen too often tho. Great setup IMO.image.jpg
