    Needed something to do since it was a little too cool to work on the paying project so I got this done temporarily...

    And lest I get accused of doing things halfassed some some others do around here... (*cough* @michaelrussell, @nammer *cough*)

    They even light up! Have them wired to the backup lights right now. No relay or anything. They'll be wired to both the backup lights and a switch with a relay when they are finished. I started at about 1700 and finished at about 2000.

    Yeah, but weeks after you put them in your bumper, they still weren't wired up. Mine were installed and working the same day. :p :boink: :D

    Honestly, I'm not sure what your objection is. If you're behind me when I'm backing up, I'd think you'd want me to be able to see you. ;) Some of us don't have those fancy backup cameras and have to make do with mirrors and mk. I eyeballs. :p

    You could use a three way switch on/off/on with a relay and diode to prevent back feeding into the brake light circuit. This would give you on by switch not in reverse. On by shifting into reverse or aux lights off when in reverse.

    I remember seeing some diagrams online when I started thinking about adding some rear lights on my truck.

    I'm actually working on a solution to that issue. I've already got them shimmed so they are pointed done a degree or two but I don't think it's enough yet so I need to come up with another solution. I may end up cutting the bumper more and bending the part that the lights are mounted to in to get them pointed down more. When they are aimed properly, it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Right now they really aren't any worse than some headlights, so I don't think it's that big a deal.
