    Here's a little update:

It appears that the JBL stereo setup makes the CRUX harness unique and does not disable the Vehicle In Motion feature. I have been talking with the guy who actually builds the harnesses and he is going to begin to build a harness specifically for the JBL ENTUNE stereo. He told me it may be about a week to have it completed, but he is going to test it to verify the harness works as it should due to the slight difference in wires due to the JBL stereo. When I'm in park with the parking brake set the system is awesome, but that's not why I bought it of course. I will update you guys if the solution is resolved in the end if any of you are thinking about setting up a screen mirror for your ENTUNE dash. The setup works with Android, Apple, Phones, tablets, and ipads. There is also RCA cables to hook up a portable DVD player if you want. So if we can make it work while moving that would be great. The CRUX guy is trying to find a way to bypass the speed and motion sensor without disabling the GPS link that others have bypassed to use the nav functions while driving. More to come in a few weeks.

Thats odd I have a 2013 with JBL and just installed the Crux Sightline - V8-VIMTY-05 and it works exactly as designed. It gives all the functions you cant access normally while driving by simply pressing the search up button to activate it, of course after installation. I have been using it about 2 weeks now and am very impressed with its funtionability. It also gives audio/video output cables that add an icon to the source screen directly on your stereo so I am using it to add a front mounted camera.

I noticed this on my 2015. After I added a mini amp and changed out speakers, that feature works much better.

I live in Northern Virginia, I've noticed that the HD radio signal really breaks up a lot. I'm really surprised that the head unit cannot adjust the sound better when this happens. Any ideas if this can addressed.

So, I ordered the crux AVITY wireless screen mirroring device for the Taco and had some issues. It turned out that the setup works for the Tacoma, but the JBL radio on the ENTUNE trucks has a different wiring setup in the back. I have worked with the guy who actually makes the harness in California and he made a new harness using a 2016 Tacoma with ENTUNE. He sent me the newly modified wiring harness and it was a simple plug in the back of the stereo and a minor setup of the wifi mirrabox that comes with the kit, and everything works perfectly. Pressing and holding the seek up button on the steerin gwheel for 5 seconds disables the motion feature allowing you to input anything on the stereo as if you were stopped. From the Audio options, a new icon appears allowing you to view the new AV input which is the wifi screen mirror box. You can mirror any android or Apple screen, the setup pops up as wifi car. You connect and mirror the screen. You can also plug in any portable device that connects with RCA cables which also have an input in the wifi box.

The guy who built the new harness told me that he is making a new setup line just like he sent me specifically for the JBL radios and if anybody orders the harness from crux, just note that you need the modified harness that fits the JBL radio. When the motion feature is deactivated, the GPS car icon on the map is a little confused but if you need the car GPS again, just press and hold seek up again and it's back to normal. Usually I use it to show WAZE on the dash screen so the car map is not needed for me at that point. The total cost was cheaper than a single map update from Toyota and now I can stream google maps and WAZE through the in dash head unit. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

@DrCherryCoke, I saw you installed the update from post #569. Can you confirm that your truck is 2015? And what Entune Radio do you have? Mine
Entune Premium, Non JBL but with Nav

Anyone updated the software that bought a radio from FLTrucks? Not the entune apps but the core radio. I follow the instructions and it never finds the update. Also the instructions to get the software information doesn't work in my '13 JBL setup.

My 2014 Entune Premium (Nav/Map Card, not JBL) has been acting squirrelly so I asked the dealer about it. They said it needs a software update, which they claimed was a dealer-only procedure, and wanted me to pay for it (I'm well past the 36k mile cutoff). I politely passed, and came here. I tried the USB download in the second quote, which did nothing.

Is there a different download and/or procedure for newer Entunes, or did I just not do it right?

Looks like the download file in @elytravis's post is not the right one for my system. I found TSB-0035-16, which says I need
    13TDANNA-DA00_0212.kwi.
Does anyone know where/how I can get this file? Thanks!

I had to get the dealer to update my 2014 with Navi and No JBL and they left the usb drive in my truck so I have the 13TDANNA-DA00_0212.kwi file if you all need it.

Thanks, tacoma2k4! The update is actually very easy and worked on the first try. No freeze-ups or spontaneous reboots today.
