Man...that has been the hardest part. My research was more fired up a couple months ago. Will have to revisit some stuff.
I don't want to go over 2", that is my main concern. Ride quality is also up there. Durability.
The main reason for it would be to compensate for the extra weight added to the truck (shell, bed platform, cab rack, recovery bar, alum. skid). I don't think there will be anything else.

I think you gave me some ideas before. Right?

Haha, I actually remember that! If you're looking for ride quality you may want to rethink the nitros. I've heard that they ride stiff. The ride people seem to rave about are the bilstein and 887's for coils. It's a higher lift than what you're thinking but if you're also thinking of doing uca's you might as well go for it. That would also mean you wouldn't have to mess with the Dakars at all by deleting a leaf.

If I stay under 2, I may not need the UCAs, right?

That I can't answer. I think it really depends on what tire size you want to eventually run or try and clear. I never had any issues with my uca's till I went up to 285.

I have 265/75/16s on there now. Don't think I would go much bigger really.

You mean don't wait until seeing if they fit? Put them in with or without?

    Got ya.
I am of the "one and done" school. I would not want to redo something once it is on.
I don't want to say that money is not an issue, because it always is. But I would spend the money to do it the right way, once.

Just joined the forum. Waiting for my DCSBOR Quicksand to come in. Nice to see some Berkshire county members. I'm coming from 10 years of turbo Subaru's and trading in my '15 STi. Still have my STi swapped 02 wagon. Happy to get into something a bit more civilized for the DD.

@DrFunker I am also going to try for a lift this year. I agree with the 2" but I wanted to go with Dakars because putting an AAL onto an already strained oem leaf's that have had a cap on them is useless imo. My final list is Dakars and bilstein 5100 extended shocks for the rear with 3°shims, a carrier bearing drop, and new bump stops. The front is going to be the bilstein 6112's set on the second to the top setting and some JBA high caster uca's. Most likely a 1/4 or 1/2" spacer because I have major taco lean. Where are you thinking about getting it installed?

It's healing up well! I just have some pain if I use it too much, otherwise we should be good to go. When are you thinking of getting your lift stuff? We are booked about a month out right now

Thought about the AAL too. Would just like it all to be refreshed though.
Like I was saying to Joe. Do it right once. "Buy once, cry once."
Hoping to enlist the help of @tacobell007. :D

    Neighbors.

Good to hear Drew. Hoping for late spring/summer.

Thanks! That would actually be best because most of our big projects will be out of the way by then so that should open up some time. My clutch comes in tomorrow so I'll have to figure out a Friday night for myself into Saturday to put a clutch kit, clutch master and slave into my truck
