Hell yeah I was so excited that they got back together and made a new album. It kicks ass. The new singer does a good job. I wonder how he sounds singing old AIC though. They are coming to STL soon but the tickets are sold out already. I have to get some

The tracks I've heard on the radio take me right back to old AIC, I'd say the new vocalist does an excellent job.

Holy mother of god what took you so long. As far as AIC is concerned I saw them open up for Velvet Revolver a little over a year ago and they blew VR off the stage. In fact we didn't even stay through VR's whole set. Of course it was AIC's home crowd(The Gorge at George) so that made a difference I'm sure.

Also, AIC has always had two vocalists-Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell. Most of AIC songs are harmonies. The new singer William DuVall actually only is lead vocalist on one track off the new album(Last of My Kind) but also plays guitar. Jerry Cantrell sings the rest. Jerry Cantrell had a special guest play piano on the title track-Elton John.

William DuVall sounds okay on old AIC tracks that are combined harmonies with Jerry Cantrell which is a majority of their songs. He suffers on tracks that Layne Staley sang as a soloist only because his voice cannot be re-created.

Usually when a lead singer dies the band dies with them. In this case Jerry's vocals were so dominant on all the previous AIC tunes they were able to survive.

By far my favorite CD of 2009. I meet and saw them at buzzfest here in Houston last Oct (Got their autograph too) and I must say they freakin killed it live.
