Well the first official issues seem to have arisen on my truck in the last 24 hours. Yesterday the speedometer was ticking upon acceleration and deceleration on the freeway and this morning I woke up to see the Service Soon indicator turn on. Perhaps this is because I'm at about 4500 miles and the 5k is due soon...but the transmission is still clunky when coasting to a stop and acting strange on the freeway. Likely due to low AT fluid I'm thinking. Also plan to have the guys grease the zerks when I take it in for service. One other issue I've noticed is when I shut my back door it sounds like something is loose or rattling under the rear of the truck. Almost sounds as if it were a loose license plate bouncing against the bumper or frame. I can't tell what it is by myself and would need a 2nd helper to assist in tracing the root cause of the noise.

OP, the service light comes on at 4500 miles. I don't have any other issues yet except the cruise/tranny issues, and a squeak on the passenger dash when outside temp is below 45F. Not sure if my tranny oil is low, but my next service I will have it checked.

I had the speedo ticking issue once but it hasn't happened again. There is a post somewhere on the forum where someone took a video of what you're talking about.

Yeah I commented on it yesterday. One guy had to have his entire gauge cluster replaced.

Did you ever have any luck getting Toyota or a dealer to address the issue? I had the same issue with my truck and have videos of my needles looking like they were getting completely stuck for a second while decelerating after I got back from a deployment. then I attached a gopro to my dash to record the needles. I convinced the dealer to open a case with Toyota, but they dismissed it saying that they need the truck to be hooked up to their computer while it happens. They are refusing to take the truck and test it thoroughly, so nothing is getting done about it.
