Noticed it when I was putting it on. But the water inlet takes up almost all of the bed rail. So I think I will either have to move the water inlet or modify the rail by cutting out that piece.

 

I can't remember, I don't have my bestop anymore, but isn't that the hinge area or is that more towards the middle?

 

It's pretty far forward on the passenger side. It is the front of the rail by the cab.

 

Lol, i was referring to the folding mechanism of the bestop. I remember it has a sliding hinge I just don't recall where the hinge points were. If you removed that section would it still operate as usual. Looks good on the truck though!

 

Yeah it would still be good. The hinge section is about a foot back from that I think. I'd have to look.

 

Please tell me your home is supplied with natural gas and not propane. Its odd to see natural gas supplied with copper tubing. Its used often with propane.

 

It's natural gas. Minnesota code says copper is fine. I won't live here when the copper fails.

 

Why the need for the power vent?

Last night, I notice I was missing one of the bolts that hold the bed rail to the bed. Anyone know off hand the size of the bolt? '07 model if that helps..

 

It's not actually a power vent. It's an "induced vent" unit. It puts out 60,000 btu so it uses the blower to help vent. It doesn't blow anywhere near like a power vent and the discharge still gets hot as hell.
