    Hi everyone,

I've been thinking about getting a new Tacoma and after looking at them at the autoshow today I really think I'm going to buy one. Never had a Tacoma before, never had a truck before but I could really use the utility of a pickup truck now and would love the stability of 4 wheel drive in Cleveland winters. My current car is a 2009 Accord V6 coupe with a 6 speed stick. Part of my attraction to the Tacoma is the fact that it's the ONLY pickup truck left in America that's available with a V6, 4 wheel drive, and a manual transmission.

So, I'm looking forward to reading your opinions and all the information about it on this forum.

Welcome to TW. You will find all kinds of info here. If you go ahead and buy, you are also buying your way into a great community. Wherever you live, there will always be TWers nearby to help you out with stuff.

Obviously I say go for it if you have the money. Be careful, though. Once you start doing mods, its already too late.

Unless you're just vehemently opposed to Chevy/GMS's offerings, you should do yourself a favor and also go check out/test drive the Colorado and the Canyon, if only for context. I've had good experiences with Chevy trucks in the past, but the reliability and resale value of the Taco ultimately won me over.

One can never have too many light bars.
Wait until the 2017 model comes out to see if they made any small improvements. Then do it.

Yes I think they're cool but you cannot get a manual transmission on them. I won't buy anything with an automatic.
