Yeah. We passed each other when I got separated from the group (guy in front didn't wait at the fork, per group wheelin' rules). I asked him if he saw a pack of Tacomas and it turned out that he was looking for them too. We wheeled a bit together on some sketchy trails and ran into the group at the summit. Nice guy.

What's his username on here? I think his buddy Sean said he was going to post some videos.

I took a wrong turn and had no choice but drive down a small portion of a black diamond. Wife did a great job guiding me, but my suspension is stock. Puckered up a couple of times but I must say I was really impressed with the trucks capabilities.

It's @Loud Runner. He's a good guy and his rig is so nice. Some awesome guy installed the lift on it a couple years ago...haha.

Was Sean riding shotgun or did he bring his 4Runner as well?

So the wife and I are sitting here having a beer. She really enjoyed Hollister today. She turns to me and says, "if we want to keep doing this we're going to need to do more to the truck". Jackpot, I knew I married a keeper.

Some of the things I hit today randomly while crawling and doing somd obstacle course stuff would had left the stock frame, suspension and engine reeling and left me screwed. At one point I hit a large chunk of rock stuck in the ground that banged up both my skid and lower control arms. All that was left to show for it was the blow which was white on the corners of both the skid and the control arm. I'm pretty sure the rock got crushed and burst upon impact. If I used the stock skids and stll used the stock LCA's something would had been done for, or a mounting bolt would had sheared right off for sure.

Such a great time with everyone today. It was nice meeting some of you! Hats off to @Overlanerd for making it through some of those trails with that camper!

Great pics Steven! Good meeting and wheelin' with you too. Love that runner.
Wheeling with the camper definitely adds another element of stress to the equation. There were some large branches, on that first trail, that got dangerously close. I'm going to bring a chainsaw next time...:sawzall:

I loved how a lot of us were rocking the TRD blower. I guess NorCal really does supercharge over LT'ing their rigs unlike SoCal. :D

The blower really was a game changer when navigating theough certain obstacles and areas of the park. We didn't try truck hill, but for next time, I definitely want to try that out!

I haven't personally witnessed it, but use caution here. What I hear from others who've seen them is that the formula for a rollover on truck hill is to gas it hard, get the suspension bumping a bit, have minimum traction due to wheelspin, when suddenly a bump turns you sideways to the hill faster than any human can react.:eek::eek:

I've driven up it a couple times: nice and slow, about 5mph, crawling but not creeping, with my normally aspirated 4cyl and with the rear differential locked for traction. Think steady momentum, rather than speed. No need for a lot of go juice.

x2. Been up there twice. The 2nd time with the locker going nice and steady was a lot better of an experience.

Just for the record guys I'm not talking about rock crawling. I was talking more about situations where we would get stuck and without the extra boost the truck lacks power. I am by no means a rock crawler and refuse to put myself in situations where I could potentially roll over.
