What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Why more lift? Stance is bitchen right now

 

Yea I love the stance too but since I put in the spidertraxx spacer so that I clear the rims from the front calipers,my front wheels have been rubbing against my bumper at full turn. Also I would love to take my truck out to go off roading again. Right now it's technically a mall crawler haha.

 

You know that you aren't going to get more travel with more lift right? Your tires will rub all the same when compressed as they do now. Just trim it.

 

Sounds like you need a new bumper not a spacer

 

That dust shield is pretty soft metal. Easy to bend them back into shape. Probably happened during shipping.

 

Yea I'm planning to get a new bumper later on the future but I don't think the 881's will hold the weight pretty well due to the fact that it already sagged on me. The 882 are only 20mm taller with the same spring rate I believe so I shouldn't lose that much travel. The 10mm spacer is just an additional lift Incase if the spring do sag later on. I tried trimming part of the front bumper and pinching the wheel well already lol

 

Thanks for replies. I wasn't sure if it was a dust shield or part of the seal. I'll return them for new ones tomorrow morning. I paid extra for OEM to avoid any/all potential issues. Granted I agree this is a shipping matter, but still.

Thanks for all the options and help with the starting issues guys. I am a bit over 40% on the CC right now, so once I clear that off, I will probably look in to a new alternator and starter from Mean Green.

Should I go up to a 140 amp alt? Or higher?
