    More specifically, will a 97 v6 stock intake mount to a 2001 v6, and will a K&N CAI for a 2001 v6 mount to a 97? Looking to trade someone so that I can do a snorkel, but have run into a little issue.

    No, the airflowmeter went though a design change starting in 99. You need a 99 and newer air filter box.
