I noticed if you check a thread three times and don't post, it wont notify you anymore of messages Will do though, I will know more once Alfuh gets back from his weekend trip and has time to get me his schedule.

 

For the rear light cluster - any tips on removing it? I have LED back up lights ready to go but haven't had time to install them (or haven't wanted to install them due to cold/snow) so I have no idea how the entire cluster is affixed... any info is appreciated!

 

You'll remove 3 bolts on the inside of the tailgate facing the tail light. I think it's 10mm. The tail light will continue to feel tight on the truck, it's being held in place by 2 socket pins. You want to give a solid yank directly away from the truck. The entire light will come out. After that, you'll be able to twist the bulbs out and replace them.

If you look at my pics, you'll see the socket pins I'm talking about. They're silver.

Drove out to Grassy Point Bayside Campground. First time there... beautiful view! Plan on camping out there in the next few weeks...

I downloaded it to a stick drive and uploaded it through the UAV port. It's my 'off' screen pic.

If so, does their tape actually do a decent job? Is it going to let go in the heat this summer?

That's the exact one. As for summer heat, time will tell. But I will say that it is extremely strong right now. I have a iPhone 6+ and it holds it with no problem. I have to give it a solid yank to get it off the magnet and the mount hasn't budged.

Like I said earlier, I've gone through 5 different types of mounts in the last year. 3 of them have been in the Taco.... and this one is by far the best one I've tried. Easily worth the $15.

Couple notes:

* Look where I mounted mine on the dash. It's attached to the lip of trim. This ensures you have access to the vent while also keeping the phone below the line of sight.
* The metal plate that attached to the phone. The company recommends you put this between the phone and case. DO NOT do this. Place it on the outside of the case so that it has full contact with the magnet. This makes a strong bind between the phone and mount.

I bought them from ebay. They were sold by a dealer in Massachusetts. Great buy! I used alcohol and a hair dryer to make the install a lot easier....

Alcohol to clean the sill. Let dry. Heated vinyl protectors w/ hair dryer until easily flexible. Peeled adhesive backing. Placed protector and applied pressure from the center moving outward.

Pro tip: Use the small holes on the rubber seal around the bottom of the door opening to line up the placement for the vinyl protector. This makes it easy for you to have all the vinyl protectors the same on each door sill.
