Hm, my cousin tried to join the Marines as an officer and go right into pilot training, but that never happened. He got tired of doing nothing so he enlisted and was able to get to OCS within a year and is now going through pilot school. I understand it doesn't always happen that way and he got lucky though.

First thing to understand about the Marine Corps is nothing revolves or is decided on anything you need. Or want. Or like.

    Maybe even dislike.

It is all about the needs of the Marine Corps.

MC more than any other, I have picked each set of orders all 4 times. The Marines that work for me have been told where they are going.

In the Air Force it all depends on career field. Once my last career field was created, I had only two places I could be stationed at stateside. Ended up in San Antonio for 10 straight years because fuck Fort Meade.

Damn, driving to work this morning in DFW really had me wondering if amber fog light mods are worth it.

A small light bar with amber film with an amber clip on cover would work and not be so bright with 2 layers

Will they cut thru fog? Always seems like white light is reflected back by moisture. Leaving the house this morning (I live in a rural area) I could see about 30' - then a blanket of mist. Just wondering if replacing the factory fogs with a good set of amber bulbs would make that much of a difference. For the 10 days a year we get fog here.

I converted my Hella 500ff's to 35w 3000k HIDs and fog is no match. They are yellow. It doesn't matter if it is like driving thru clouds, they still light up the road at least 50+ yards out like fog isn't even there. They work great in whatever inclimate weather. They can be bumped (adj) up or down for offroad or street with back of hand but don't vibrate on bumps or frwy speed wind.
