2002 taco 2WD SR5 silver with gray interior, I need to find a new steering wheel or get one off a similar model, as the one I have is starting to crack and coming apart at the glued seam.

    Advices greatly appreciated, thanks.

I replaced mine off ebay. Post a pic and I might have one. I bought one for a newer taco thinking it would work but the airbag connection was different

Here you go.. Dark grey interior, as far as I can tell. You can see where it's coming apart at the top.

As long as it is compatible, I will take it, I'm not fussy.

I have no way of knowing if your airbag connections are the same. Everything else will work. They changed that connection often.

What I'm thinking is- all I need is the steering wheel itself, so could I detach the wheel itself and transplant it to the hub on my truck and still use the wheel assembly and cover with airbag and horn, since all of that works? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I think the spokes are different. I went through all this before. I'm glad to sell it to you, but don't want you unhappy if it's wrong. Your call. I know the hub and wheel will fit, just the airbag issue.
