Tried search was not able to find anything specify.

So 35k miles on my truck and front breaks are down to nothing.

Should i replace my drum breaks seams like the drums breaks should last upwards of 60k miles rights?

are you heavy braking all the time? Seems pretty low miles for needing brake pads. Usually front pads go quicker than rear shoes...

The first time I replaced my pads was at 64k miles and I still haven't replaced the drums/shoes and I'm at 120k.

I guess so, iam pretty hard on the brakes, do you replace breaks all at one time or do you space out having the front and rear done seperatly?

One can never have too many light bars.
The drums should last a very long time. With that said I would check them because replacing the fronts at 30K is quick. My truck has 40K on it and I still have about half of my stock front pads left.

You don't have to change the rears at the same time as the fronts... If your fronts are worn, just replace em. Rear drums should last you like 100k miles.

depends on your driving habits and or if you rest your foot on the brake pedal while driving....yes Ive known and seen people driving around with their foot on the pedal:eek: and they wonder why their brakes go out so quick.

typically all disc brakes replace at the same time...if you have pads in the front and drum rear you'll typically replace 2 front sets to 1 rear shoes.

replace axles at a time. that is, front breaks at once, or rear at once. You dont need to do all 4. Honestly the rear drums n shoes will last like 200k miles. (dads 04 taco still had life left in the shoes at 220k)

Yea 35k is low. I have about 46k on mine and it's still about half way.

Plenty of vids on youtube on how to change brakes on a Tacoma.

What year is the truck? Is this mileage from brand new? Or from new to you? Or from b r a k e pad change from parts store pads?

I just did the fronts on mine for the second time and 136k on the clock. Rear drums are still in good shape.

The rule of thumb I have used down through the years is that you change the fronts about 3 times before having to change the rears

Inspect the drums to be sure, but usually it is not needed for many many miles. My original front pads lasted over 90k miles. I didn't even check the drums yet. I'll check them next time I need front pads.
