Already had it, washed and snapped it

 

Seems like u completed circuit between battery and ground... for a 120amp fuse to blow that means there is/was a direct connection from batt to ground. Check alt wiring to make sure the ground didn't hit the power cable.

 

Also a alt fuse wouldn't cause a no start. It just wouldn't charge. Unless ur battery is dead too.

 

Maybe the water caused the ground

 

Not likely. Or else whenever anyone did a water crossing all the cars would be fuct.
More likely the pressure washer wand...

 

Yeah I figured, was just throwing things out there

 

It's alive, changed the alt fuse and it started right up

 

Any check engine lights?

 

It was, that alternator fuse was a huge pain in the ass. I took pictures and will post them on my build thread later on

 

No but I also disconnected the battery so it may take a second to kick in. Clean dash otherwise

 

Disconnecting the battery can wipe the codes

 

pretty sure that's what he was saying...

 

What I meant is that it may not show back up until its too late. A code could've told us what caused this

 

I've fired her up 3 times since and am about to leave my parents house and head home (about 22 miles) so we will see.

 

Come on guys 10 pages or so today..can someone summarize in a couple sentences what's going on?
