    bottom line is the 2016 needs a reprogram to increase off the line acceleration. Nobody buys a truck to rev to 9k all day. Yes the ECT helps but that still requires you to mash the pedal to get it to drop gears which defeats the purpose of daily driving acceleration.

    Really like mine. Tacoma's rock. I will always have one. I don't think I'll ever need a bigger truck. Most people that pile into my truck and go somewhere with us are impressed with my 2013 Prerunner. Rides great. Looks great. Tows my toys. I look forward to getting a Gen 3 someday.

    ^Exactly. I test drove both a manual and an auto 2016. The auto just felt really sluggish.
