because with 285s at full lock the tires almost lock up on the cab mount. the caster put the tire too far back in the fender well. in my experience wheeling i need a full range of steering for any situation that might arise. its darn near ripping lugs off going into steep driveways at even the slightest angle. had no problems with icon uppers and a CMC

Sucks to hear. Are your tires rubbing the UCA at all or just the cab mount? Got any pics of your cab mount rub?

Yeah the TX pro beadlocks with a 1.25 in spacer. Waiting on some .75 in one's from bora. Had to put spacers on to not rub the upper

The spacer is whats killing you. The .75 should make things right.

At the end of the day you may need to do the cab mount chop depending on your specific truck.

You probably answered this, but given that your alignment didn't come out the same on both sides, do you wheel hard much? When I've bent spindles it usually moves the tire back and in. Even a minor bend can move it enough to cause rubbing. Just an idea. Unfortunately it's really hard to tell when you've bent a spindle just slightly on these trucks.

Hey all haven't had a chance to snap pics sorry, but yea the .75 spacers and narrower tires "should" solve it fingers crossed. One of you mentioned needing a cab mount chop but I already have one. And the spindles shouldn't be bent as they are gusseted with TC gussets

Hey guys, so I totally suck. Didn't have a chance to snap pics of the spacing. I had my lower ball joints done inner and outer tie rods and got my alignment waaay better. Toe and camber perfect 0 and caster at exactly 2.4 both sides. Not rubbing anywhere near as bad as I was. I haven't painted the cab mount yet so I will get you all a pic of the rub marks tomorrow. Now I know when I get the new tires and smaller spacers I will be perfect. Much happier now. Too many factors

Anyone using these in areas salt/chemicals are heavily used in the winter? If so how are they holding up?

Long awaited photo of the rub on my cab mount chop, you can see where the black paint has rubbed off.

Installed my JBA Std high caster arms yesterday and got truck aligned today. Naturally a couple of my adjusters are frozen. I was previously running 884's and only had 1.2deg of caster. Added JBA arms and a toytec top plate spacer and I'm way over now. I think I'll just run in like this for a while until I have time to cut control arms out and redo the adjusters. What do you guys think? It drives a lot better.

I think the toe is actually good. Contrary to popular belief you don't actually want 0 toe for breaking purposes. A combined toe of like .17 is optimal or .085/side. They actually teach you that at the hunter alignment school. I see no issue with the caster either. Sure it is out of spec but if the truck were a prerunner the spec is 3.5-5 degrees so think about that a bit. 3.9 is definitely fine, there is more steering effort in corners on the freeway but it track beautiful. If anything I'd like to see 0 degrees of camber ut a tenth or two I'm not going to fuss about. Just my 2cents.

Mine (formerly @Crom's) got installed two weeks ago. Install was smooth and final alignment came out great. Since this seems to be the collecting place for alignment results I'll drop mine here. I asked for 3/0/0 and work was done by a Firestone with the start of lifetime alignment plan. Want to say extra thanks to all the TW members who went through the pain of early adoption and helping getting this product straightened out.

Been reading this thread as im interested in the JBA's also.
And to Mike "TacoConvert2012" and anyone else running aftermarket UCA's. You actually want your caster numbers to be as high as possible or atleast slightly above 3.0*
That will help bring your tire forward in the wheel well away from your cab mounts. Then you guys should easily clear 285's. With maybe a light CMC. :)
Just trying to help... hope one day to try out these UCA's. Just got me 295/75/16 BFG KO2's on. Need to go back for a road force balancing. But i clear these no problem with my stock uca's.

I think you actually loose clearance with the UCA, at least that is my understanding. The only way to increase positive caster is to move the upper ball joint back, or the lower ball joint forward. Since we are dealing with the UCA the only option is to move the ball joint back in turn reducing clearance to said cab mount.
