I hate it after my truck gets dirty and I slide out getting mud down the side of my leg, but it saves my rockers so I'm OK with it. :D

The worst is when its got snow or lots of water on it and you slide out just to have a nice wet pant leg

No, he cleaned the paint off the frame at all the weld points, the weld burns just came over far enough in that picture to make it hard to tell. Yeah I am finding that getting in and out is definitely a little different, the girlfriend already used to bitch about getting dirty getting out haha. She's really not going to like it until she learns to step on them or something.

It was right about 3 hours with both sliders then cleaning up and welding the CMC. I think if he did another set and they weren't quite as big of mounting plates with so much weld to run he could get it done in 2 hours.

Stupid question time! Why is it necessary for the door to stay open?

In case it slips out it doesn't go straight into your door/window

I'm looking for any advise on places to visit, camp, wheel in Oregon and Washington. Thought I'd ask here as this thread sees alot of traffic. I also created another thread that I'll provide a link to incase anyone has some info they'd like to share. We'll be doing the trip in April or May from Central Alberta to Bend, Oregon to pick up a newly purchased RTT from CVT and are hoping to hit up the coastline on our way back north to British Columbia.

Are there any eastern Washington or north Idaho TWers in here that want in on the All Pro slider group buy? Heck, even wetsiders could benefit.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/all-pro-tacoma-slider-group-buy.417125/
Right now there is enough interest for a 20% discount which is really sweet but shipping the damn things is expensive. If we get a few od of us together, somebody could pick them up in Victor, MT and have their fuel and beer paid for. Maybe a little extra too and still save a lot in freight. We could all meet somewhere "local" to pick then up. Im willing to make the six hour drive from here if nobody is closer.

I was a bit surprised that telehandler picked the truck. Those xtra cabs probably weigh about 4000lbs. But the boom was sucked all the way in so I guess that's about right.
