I used to be a service advisor, I never pulled that crap. I actually like good reviews.

Yeah I will never go there again, I have a friend of a friend that's an advisor at a Tampa dealer so I'll give that a try next time. I need my automatic trans serviced after towing a trailer twice halfway across the country I think it's about time. Plus going out to Colorado and down to the ozarks.

That's good to know when I am ready to upgrade out of this regular cab. But at this point I will add another car or truck.

An SAS is in between a need and a want.

Stuff like 3-link/4-link with coil-overs and high dollar heim joints and hydro-assist is definitely a want. A properly set up leaf sprung setup up front would realistically do everything you would need it to in Florida. I've been down this road a couple times :D.

I started wheeling in an 02 Tundra with IFS and 33's. I had zero issues with the front end but I trashed 2 stock rear axles. I figured I'd go ahead and do an SAS with a new rear axle since that was the ultimate goal anyway. Now that I have been spoiled with wheeling a solid axle truck since 2007, I won't ever go back to IFS, ever.

That being said, 95% of the guys I've ever wheeled with were/are IFS and I really can't think of too many times where someone really screwed up their front end enough to warrant an axle swap... most that did do it was just because of the "want" factor.

I'm kinda over the pump things. The cheap crap they sell you these days makes a bigger mess than it's worth. Instead of a gallon jug and a pump, just get you 3 quart sized bottles and a couple feet of hose (3/8" or so). For the rear diff you only need 3 or 4" of hose, but other places like the front diff requires a bit more.

Also gear oil is a little like brake fluid though in that it doesn't keep well so unless you're going though a lot of it, you don't really need a gallon jug of it anyhow.

Cut hole to stick air blower in and a hose from the bottom of the bottle to the fill hole. Pressurize and it pushes it out of the bottle into whatever you are filling.

    Thank me later

Nice. I thought about doing something like that before, but never got around to trying it. I guess after the cluster f**k changing the gear oil in my front diff turned into last time, I might just try this next time. :fingerscrossed:

About 9ish out of respect to the neighbors.

Bummer, but if everybody else is busy too then it might have to be pushed back to next weekend.
