Good buy! I'm a boot fan myself. Partially cause the job requires it. Standing on about $1k worth of awesome boots in the locker. 2x pr of White's Smokejumpers, 1 standard, 1 lace to toe, and my Chippewa station boots. Thorgoods are a great boot too!

More shit then I ever planned on doing
So while we were in Thailand last month my wife bought a couple canvas paintings before we left. Took them to Cheap Petes today to get a price To stretch and mount them. They quoted me $900    WTF!!!!! So of course when I get home and told her no way I'm paying them that much I'll do it myself. She responded with "well you have no problem spending $900 on your truck".

but the truck looks pretty and doesn't sit on the wall those would just look pretty and sit on a wall so the truck makes sense at least to me

Good boots are worth the money. I've been wearing zippered boots for a while and they are pretty comfy. For my last pair, I'm probably gonna get some Chippewa's.

Stretching canvas is easy!! YouTube it, you can get everything you need at Michaels or Blick Art Supply.
Knew you would be! I liked the Chippewa's for sure but fell for the Thorogood when I tried them on. I mainly like the name though, my Grandpa was born and raised on a Chippewa Reservation in Michigan, legend has it I am 1/8, I'll get some eventually.

600# springs on my non-resi Fox's are bowing so bad that they're rubbing the shock body. These 700#'s will hopefully help- so I can finally put the damn Relentless skids on. Fox's used to have blue springs, right?

I have complained about my ABS being too sensitive before yet now I have learned a valuable lesson.

ABS saved my butt yesterday. Gave a quick glance back to my son in his car seat. Looked forward to see stopped traffic directly in front of me. 35 mph stomp break pedal, ABS pulsing away, 33s chirping hard with brake pulse, and managed to JUST steer the truck around their passenger side. Heart pumping, thankful not to have bought the farm...

Lesson learned - ABS still sucks. Watch the road, dumbass :smack:

Yikes. That is all it takes. A second. But I love how people rag on me when they take pictures with their phone when driving and I call them out on it. Clueless.

Glad you and your kiddo got through that event without incident.

    Thanks man, I'm glad too!

It definitely only takes a second... (That's shat she said). Screw all this new brake assist technology. Watch the road...

    Wrecked!
I hate when this happens. But ABS did help keep you in control. Without it the out come may have been worse. Or not it is hard to say how anyone would react to a sliding out of control situation. I've been there as well and ended up on top of a curb or facing the wrong way after a hard brake pump. But I to think that mine is more sensitive then it should be. I recently put powerstop slotted rotors and extreme duty pads on the front and have seen a little bit of improvement in hard breaking. I'm glad you and your son are OK.

Def a bit happier than I was to have ABS, even though I shouldn't have needed it. I switched to ebc pads and rotors which helped too
