I don't think anyone made a video for the fix, just took pictures. It's really pretty simple, shouldn't need a video for guidance.

I have a 2014 Tacoma TRD off road. My truck has made this noise from day one . Had it back to the dealer 4 times for this. Took the service writer and manager for a ride . They had the truck for over 15 days and keep giving it back to me not fixed. So far they have not done anything to fix it . Filed a complaint with Toyota. They will not do anything because they say it is an outside influence they can't control. Wind/kazoo noises they will not do anything about. So now I will try to fix it. Or I will get rid of it. I love the truck except for this.

It was pretty windy today so I took some video on the way to work. The noise was pretty constant and sounded to me like it was coming from the windshield. I put it on YouTube since the file was too large for this forum. This may be helpful to some when describing the noise to the dealership.

I used the 5/16" weatherstrip from Autozone, filled the gap between the door and the current weatherstrip. My kazoo is gone, thanks to all of you who worked to find this fix.

Mind snapping a pic of what you did? Did it reduce general wind noise coming through the seal?

I'll try to get a pic in a bit. I don't notice any wind noise now, most importantly the kazoo is gone.

Here are the pics of where I placed the weatherstrip. It has an adhesive side which I stuck to the current weatherstrip, this probably isn't necessary but I figured it can't hurt. Again, I don't take any credit for this find but I can say that it worked for me.20160301_102132.jpg 20160301_102145.jpg 20160301_102233.jpg

Had same complaint about door seal noise. Dealer put a small fuel line hose inside my door seal to thicken it up. Worked great. Looks like the old 4Runner deal with the attached tube on the door seal. Dealer said a new TSB should be out soon including a new door seal design for Tacoma and 4Runner.

Thanks for the pic! Going to try this. Been trying many different things to cut out my wind noise. I don't get the howling, more of a wind wushing around inside the door sound. Will report back if this dampens the sound

Glad to hear Toyota is acknowledging the issue with wind noise and these seals.

You're getting ahead of yourself. A guy on the lot saying something will happen generally means fuck all.

^ not relevant at all - it just makes me laugh.

Lol yea I hear you, I don't have much faith in it. I have heard multiple members here state they were told similar thing about a future TSB for the door seals.

Nah my buddy is the tech at the dealership and he went to Totoya Quality in Kentucky for this issue last week. it was his idea from the Kentucky meeting for the fuel tube in the seal. Got to have faith

uh pardon? They've been making this truck since 2005. They can hurry up and figure this shit out. My 2013 made this sound 3 years ago. That's how long most people own a vehicle. Much less being pleased that after years and years they get around to - hey, guys... lets use a fucking thicker seal? (applause, applause, bonus cheques all around)

Nope. Mine only ever made the noise on one stretch of a road trip across the prairies (8 hrs of hell). We've got so many mountains around here there never seems to be a crosswind. I am going to do the fix in post 307 though just to make sure I never hear that god-awful noise again.

you know what's sad is I have to look on TW to figure out WTF is up with most things on my truck @ a cost of30k+.
First time I heard that noise I was like, holy crap my fan motor for the A/C has a dead animal in it...then I realized it was off... wow... my 2015; last of it's breed still has the same damn problem described... uh how many years ago now. Shame on Toyota. My dream of having a Taco finally realized and it's not what they were when I couldn't afford one.

Mine has been for service 5 times now and still does it. I ended up filing a complaint with corporate. That proved to be a giant pain in the a$$. Had the complaint sent down to Southeast Toyota Corporate. Those guys are great. They are going to do the final attempt to fix before buying the truck back. They guy i am dealing with at SE Toyota is very accommodating and doing his best to fix the issue. The problem is with the local dealer. Absolutely crappy service. The sound comes from different places almost every time I drive in windy conditions. It is the most annoying noise to hear day in and day out. Best of luck to everyone here who has to endure this god awful noise.

I have had the same issue with my 2014. I checked the door and window but there doesn't seem to be anything out of place. After reading all of this I'm going to check the front side by the mirror
