Went with a buddy of mine to south padre island access 6 to do some off roading, drove in like 15 mile. Going to bocachica beach next time cause south padre was way to easy for the tacos! Lol

The build order for the truck was submitted the beginning of last week. So I'm thinking most likely mid to end of april being the average build to delivery time seems to be 6-8 weeks. Normally it would be killing me but its giving me time to decide and order the tires and figure out what way im going to go on the level or lift.

Brings back memories...could have lost my '93 Toyota DX X-cab down there when I drove into a huge tidal flat in 3rd gear and nearly bogged to a stall before I realized I was sinking and got her turned around. We were way up the island, and way too far into that mess to get a line on the truck. The deep ruts indicated the wheels were more than rim deep...felt like if I disengaged the clutch to downshift, we'd have stopped instantly. This was before everyone had cell phones, and it would have been highly unlikely that we could have extracted the truck before the tide came in.

This happens at Pismo Beach (Oceano Dunes SVRA) so often. Especially when the river is running. I've seen everything from lifted trucks to brand new BMW's swallowed by that river

We camp there a half a dozen times a year at least. Fun thing about this canyon as well as the others is the geocaching for the kids to partake in. We'll take the kids on geocaching motorcycle/UTV/wheeling rides finding and leaving treasures and have a blast.

That looks SOOOO rad! Right down to the blue tipped lugs. If I asked real nice could you snap a pic with a full side view? That might be a perfect combo for BBP. I never considered non black wheels or mounting with the lettering out before now.

I installed coilovers set @ ~1.5" over stock and a .5" lift block before the UT trip. Tires are 265 70 17:

Nice. Makes me want to check it out. It's a good long drive for me, but I'll make it down there at some point.

I just want to mention how good the ABS system is in the Off Road. I was driving behind my wife this weeknd while she was riding her quad in the desert. She was way ahead of me and I was doing about 30mph through some smooth sand. I decided to smash on the brakes to see what would happen in the sand. It threw the Traction Control light and ABS fired and kept the wheels from locking up. I was very impressed.
