Traction control would sometimes activate while turning and driving through a significant dip or drainage ditch at speed. Now that it's been recalibrated for the increased tire size, problem is gone.

I bought 2 sets of these for the truck. The only thing I can't decide is where to mount them. Would you guys put them on the side rails of the bed like how the 2nd gens have them or down in the bottom of the bed inside the wheel wells. Or one set in each spot?

Well pack your truck up with your camping gear and such. See where you would mount. Personally I would do the sides In the middle and one more afainst the cab

I'm thinking bed sides and then a couple D rings on the bottom of the bed for my cooler and maybe another set for my storage crates.

I would put one against the cab on the bed but id have to take the bed off to have room to get in there. Or use self tapping screws.

Yes but i want to be able to secure my stuff better and not mess up my cooler any more from having stuff rubbing against it constantly. I dint have a tailgate either so i have to secure everything down really well.

Down low. 99% of the time, I need to tie down to the floor, not to the bed rails.

There you go. I like the adjustability on the sides. And d rings In the bottom will be fine. Maybe 3 per side

I would almost have to take my bed off to do that though. These on the sides and individual D rings on the floor of the bed?

This is kinda what I'm thinking. But not up on top there, directly on the insides below where they are sitting now

I never found the bed rail tie downs useful on my Nissan or Tacoma. The 2 rails in the floor of the Titan were usually handy. Most stuff is at or below the bed rails.

Inside edge of the wheel well
Floor in front or behind the wheel well (outside the frame, should be accessible)
Vertical rear corners maybe (remove tail lights)

I think right inside the wheel wells would be really useful.. I just have to miss the bracket where the bed sits on the frame.

Or put them on the vertical part of the well.

Thank you @snowtank and @RPS1030 for your input! I think I'm going to do one of each, one on the inside of the bed rail and on on the floor of the bed. I can pick up another one of these kits and some D rings later if i need to add more attachment points.

Well fu@& I did exactly what i was worried about and put the first one too close to one of the beds cross members. The aluminum back bracket just barely won't fit. I either have to redrill the holes a half inch back or cut about a quarter inch off the brackets.

Gonna work on this tomorrow, gotta get ready for work!
