Does this look ok. Don't really trust taking it to a mechanic and asking. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!IMG_20160301_093215492_HDR.jpg IMG_20160301_093210301_HDR.jpg

Looks like you may have lost a little grease out of it, or it could just be road grime..
You would need to lift the wheel off the ground to check for play in the ball joint.

Is there something happening to make you concerned?

Yeah, you seem to have lost some grease. Upper ball joints wear out... probably worth getting a few estimates.

Thanks guys. What has been happening is there is alot of vibration when I am driving around 50 and above. Also when I go to stop it vibrates too. All of this was happening before I installed my rancho lift in the front and I added 265/75/16 tires it just got a bit worse. Any recommendations are welcomed.
    Thanks!

Good chance that is warped rotors.

Possibly, but doubtful. I'd start with the upper ball joints... when they are shot things can get a little jittery, especially at speed or braking.

Sounds like rotors if the vib is only on stopping/slowing down....depending on mileage could also be u-joints and center bearing.

He did say it vibrates while driving around 50 mph and up as well.

The truck has 128,586 miles and I replaced my front rotors at 112,530. The rear drums also resurfaced at that time. I am now on my second rack and pinion. So I have no clue what's going on.

tire balance for the high speed vibration, brake rotors for the vibration while braking

Wouldn't hurt to have the ball joints check for safety sake

Check your U joints, I was having similar symptoms and my back rear joint was barely hanging on

Aside from everything that has been said, first gens have a notorious ball joint failure. Google it, my friend and take no chances. Specially with the mileage
