I am looking at the Gloss Black NFab Nerf Bars for my Taco and Truck n Trailer here in Chattanooga priced them at $435 for the set and I know they are gonna do a good job of taking care of them in the shipping to this store ( not carried in stock) BUT AutoCustoms.com has them for $330 shipped to my door and I know these things are big so they are prone to getting scratched, mishandled, yada yada yada what are yalls opinions on what I should do? OH and AutoAnything.com has them for 365 shipped and they have been good on my stuff so far

How functional are they as steps? these are mostly for a girlfriend that complains about having to kinda jump to get in

Don't get me wrong I'd rather have sliders for the fact they are stronger and can be a liftpoint

they are decent as steps. you can have them fabbed at a flat angle better for stepping. they can be slippery, but some have added non skid tape. SOS makes no drill bolt on, and sale going on right now, see link in my sig.

they come bare metal, will have a paint project. I sprayed rustoleum bedliner for some grit, its minimal, but better than none, and then top with semi gloss, or flat, or whatever you desire  the linex is awesome, wasnt offered when I got mine

Op, if you're doing nfab at least consider the wrinkle finish in stead of the gloss black. Plenty of complaints about the gloss black powder coat flaking off prematurely and rusting badly. The wrinkle is said to be much more durable.

Thought about that but they are two differnt nerf bars AutoCustoms is NFab and AutoAnything is GoRhino sorry I forgot to include that info

Thinking about goin with the GoRhino bars because they are like that wrinkle finish they are "textured black" and was reading exactly what you said about the gloss finish
