    Seemed to be grounding pretty well to me. Its the body ground for the battery and it never created a problem as far as I could tell. Do you really think it needs to be moved?

    If it works you are fine. I would think the contact area with the eyelet and the bolt is fairly small versus the whole bolt head and all the threads.

    Makes sense. Also the eyelet is being pushed against the body pretty well

    Could be wrong, but if I'm remember correctly the paint is sanded off underneath

    My other post didnt go through but that is just a mounting hole... no relay is externally grounded. The ground comes in through the harness...
    I meant that a relay can't bolted to a harness
