Yesterday I posted some progress of a kydex holster I made to mount into my center console. The issue I was having was trying to figure out a way to mount the holster to where I can get a complete grip/purchase in the event I needed to draw my firearm. I could have added a 3/4" rubber spacer which would have suffice....until I came across this idea I saw online.....the Blackhawk serpa quick disconnect kit!

I already had a serpa for my Glock 43 so I just picked up the kit that included 2 female adapters and one male adapter. I mounted one of the female adapters to my paddle attachment and one to my center console. Man this thing looks clean!

Just thought I would share this idea in case anyone out there was wondering.

Another idea would be screwing one of those magnets to holster off of the slide.

Love these blackhawk SERPA holsters- had this same design in mind, just never pulled the trigger on drilling. Perfect setup.

Nope, not at all. I used 1" self tapping screws. Either sidewall would have definitely gone through but the front and back walls are just fine. I even have plenty of clearance to access the 12v plug :)

Had some left over steel that i made a L bracket out of then bolted it to the center console. I just cut a small slit in the cover piece and slipped it over the bracket to hide the bottom and then screwed holster to the bracket. I was thinking about just going to the side but i wanted to be able to get my whole hand around the grip quickly. Plus i later velcroed a extra mag pouch on the side.

Nice. Love my Serpa CQC's. Where did you get the three piece kit?

On an unrelated note, why do you use the 43 OWB? It's more of a concealed carry gun, right.

Great stuff guys! Need to double check the South Dakota laws before I move next month then make my decision on mounting and hardware. As of now, the G Code mount seems like the quickest draw while remaining out of site to most unless I chose to or needed to have it seen, ie: in a traffic stop.

I would use the console too but there no room left after the 6 grenades are in there (unless I pull the pins) :)

No grenades here but I do carry a full sized 9mm which will only lay flat and angled in this new and tiny cubby.

I pocket carry my Glock but I like to use the Serpa when I go out to the range. I mainly shoot my AR's but I like running drills with both rifle and pistol. I'm in army so I've always carried Serpa's on deployments ;)
