@DoubleRGirl they're talking about guns again. Let's discuss vibrators and lightsabers

I announce I'm working on the car / truck / random thing, and she goes to the beach and comes back 6-8 hours later. It works best for everyone involved. She nearly dumped me early one when we were dating as I had a date planned the day I did the stereo in the STi. I told her I was on my way more than once when I was still deep into wiring. Not my proudest moment, but to this day, "I'm working on the car" turns into I will see you tomorrow morning.

I keep my knife on me, but I have to go to peoples houses to pick up bikes for the dealership. I know the other buyers carry and there's been a couple really sketchy situations where I knew the guys were stealing bikes

And no haven't had the "pleasure" of trying that out yet

Curious...what is the ultimate goal here?

I tried having them disable the seatbelt chime as I keep my surveying total station in the passenger seat sometimes and the chime goes off incessantly. The look I got from them was almost comical.

It still beeps and they said no.

The new ferds dont allow you to do the thing there you insert /remove the seatbelt in some sequence and.turn on/off the truck to disable it? Both my 08 and 13 work f150s had a sequence in the manual to disable one/both of the seatbelt chimes.

I guess I need to do some more research! - I thought I read somewhere you need the dealer to program it out, but now I am second guessing myself

*Edit: I am an idiot - found it instantly when searching. Guess I am getting real lazy. Thanks!

I want them to change my daytime running lights. Right now, it uses the headlights as the dtrl, I want it to use the marker light just below it, like the HID equipped models do. It's a setting in the lighting control module, they just have to select it. I don't see the point in running my headlights all the time because I do run brighter bulbs and they're just going to burn out faster.

You can get the chime off on your own, google it and check out some of the Ferd forums, there's a write up on it.
Psst... Zach came to the dark side and bought a Ferd, I don't think those Toyota forums are going to be much help.

Years ago on the FJNE forum one of our members (a Toyota Parts guy) looked for that info about using the side marker/running lights as DRL like some of the Tacoma's. The conversation circled for awhile but we never did get a definite answer on how you would go about doing it. I would love to do this since, like many, I am running aftermarket bulbs and would like to choose when I use up the burn time on them.

This is also interesting if you want a little something extra out of your headlights http://www.innovadd.com/bb.main.html

O ya, it's easy on Toyota's too. I did it to the passenger seat on my FJ cause anytime you put anything weighting more than a piece of paper on the passenger seat the Damn thing chimes at you.
