Scott Genius 740. First ride after installing Easton Arc 30's, switched to tubeless & 1up'd from 1x10 to 1x11.

Went to a demo day at my favorite bike shop. Sadly couldn't ride any of the bikes the way I wanted to because my arm was killing, but I think I've found my new bike. Kona Process 153DL. I need a larger frame and smaller tires in my life. Gonna put my bike up for sale sometime this week.

Just bought a 2016 Specialized Camber Comp Carbon 650B. I used to ride a lot but haven't ridden in years. Always wanted a nice bike so I finally got one. Excited to get back on the trails.

I hit the trails for the first time in about six years yesterday on my new bike and I was surprised how quickly most of my bike handling skills came back. I'm also surprised at how out of shape I am. I knew that was going to happen. I workout in the gym (I coach strength and conditioning) and I do a lot of hard cardio but it's just not the same. I used to ride all day and yesterday I found my self sucking wind after one trail and I only had the energy to ride for a couple hours.

Going from a Raleigh M50 with v brakes to the Camber is a night and day difference. The bike tears up the bumps and handles so much better.

    Nice bike!

yea I went from an OK bike to a pretty nice one and it was a pretty awesome difference. I honestly find it really difficult to ride my old bike now that ive gotten used to the new one.

I know what you mean. I don't really enjoy the trails here in Florida (90% work 10% play) & I get tired of doing the same thing very quickly so I'll mix it up with some road adventures for awhile. Coming back to the trail after some time off really hurts my performance even if I'm doing other cardio. Me & some fellas are headed up to Santos this weekend to play in some new dirt. What part of Florida do you ride in?

I usually ride Alafia State Park and Boyette Scrub Preserve because they're close to my house. I've ridden Santos once and will definitely be back soon now that I'm riding again. It was my favorite place to ride between the three I listed. I'm hoping to get up to Pisgah this year in May while my GF is out of town to do some riding. I definitely want to start traveling out of state.

There are a couple of good trails in SC and NC that you can hit. there are trails for days! Paris Mountain State park had a pretty fast ride and is still one of my favorites.

I haven't rode Pisgah yet but I've had good times on several trails in the Asheville area last year. Can't wait to go back but I also have Mulberry Gap on my list too. If you're ever in the Broward or Dade county areas we have a few ant hills I can show you.

And just to try and keep on topic, here's another pic (from the lookout point on Kitsuma Trail in NC) :bikewhoops:
