    For offroad use I would suggest 2.5 to 3" as you will actually get more ground clearance. I can explain of you would like, but I'll do it on break. As for. Me I had a my icons set at 3" and my rear is 2.5 or so but a different set up. Check my build thread if you want to see pictures of it.

    This question and statement makes me believe that you are fairly new to suspension stuff? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Front lifts specifically typically aren't sold as a "3" lift kit" but as a "up to 3" lift kit". Unless you are putting in spacers for the lift or non-adjustable shocks (which is more uncommon then not) then you will be buying a kit that allows you the freedom of a few different height adjustments. Now stepping up to a 5"+ lift will require a drop bracket kit which is composed of a new welded in sub frame that keeps the stock drive line symmetry but gives you the lift height you want.

    Any option you go with will come down to a combination of a few requirements for your needs. Things like: off road use, street use, towing, looks, ride quality, where you drive, where you park, mpgs, money you want to spend, future maintenance money you want to spend, etc ....... Are all taken into consideration. It's easy for us to just tell you what we have but without any context behind it, it helps you in no real world way. I'd suggest asking the same questions with more context of what you want and need and we can help better from there.

    So I have been trying to find a good spare for this trip and I can not find any 285 70 16 tires for a spare. Would it hurt anything if I run a 285 75 16 as a spare? Did not know if that difference would hurt anything or not.

    Be better than no spare in an emergency. Are you locked diff? If so it would be easier to damage your driveline running an odd size spare, definitely so on pavement.

    No just run it on the front. Your front tires are literally free spinning when in 2wd. It won't hurt at all. Being open in the rear won't hurt either

    The only time I ever hear of issues with odd sized tires is in all time all wheel drive vehicles.

    Yeah that's probably a bad idea. Haha reminds me of a buddy of mine called me one day freakin out cause he just got a new wrx and did his first oil change and on his test drive the car started making this really loud clanking noise and was jerking real bad and stuff. After a few questions and a few sketchy answers I asked "are you sure you drained the engine oil?" He paused for a min and said "Fuck! I think I drained the trans oil. That would explain why not much came out and why the engine oil dipstick never got low. And I put 5 quarts of oil in the engine so it's probably way to full now." Hahahaha good stuff
