I'm looking at putting LED's in my truck but had a few questions. Would they work in my stock headlight housings? Do I need to modify anything for them to work properly? Any input would be appreciated.

as long as you get the 9003/H4/HB2 style they will fit in your stock housings. you will have to cut the dust boot or leave it off as the LED has a wider diameter base and requires the cooling fins/fan

keep in mind if you remove or cut dust/socket boot- you run a high risk of getting moisture in your headlight. Its a pain to remove but is possible . I doubt with this with my HID's and was gonna do LED's but opted not to for this reason. I would suggest modifying the boot (cut) tot allow for LED FAN and seal the crap of boot with electrical tape- you want to ensure you don't get any moisture in the headlight housing- because as you know water will find its way in anything.

My boots hat to be cut for HIDS- I re installed them and added a ton of electrical tape to seal off. So far so good- been holding up. I even ordered replacement boots. I'm on the fence about switching to LEDS for this same reason. Down the line I might just do the full retro headlight kit
