Wait, I misunderstood you. I would wait to do it all at once. To install the hardware, you have to have the tailgate plate off.

 

Tonight is just one big emotional roller coaster ride. Lmao. Darn.

 

Really, it only takes a couple of minutes to install or take off the plate. I've taken mine off easily a couple of times to fix a crappy Pop-N-Lock.

 

True. But I didnt want to say it can be done after for him to have to take it off again. But youre right, it is quick removal.

 

It's nothing that my cordless impact Makita won't install and remove just as quickly.

Just got the puzzle pieces of the locking plates. Any idea on when the tailgate cover and stuff will be shipped?

A suggestion on the box plates. I suggest an edge on shot of the two locking cylinders. You want to show rabbit ears up, dog leg(Crimp) down, and the cylinder points up and to the left. Look at the channel the dog leg goes into. First try I put the cylinders in backwards and could not figure out why the levers would not go into the slots in the fenderwell box. I sure didn't want to cut into the box to make the slot longer.

I also suggest a static cling sticker for a window. I peeled the sticker in the package and half of the letters stayed on the paper backing.

Just dealt with LQK which is the parent of Keystone now. They no longer issue the Keystone specialty catalogs and everything is now done online. Call Keystone Automotive and you can join the 800 plus other venders they deal with. Guess my 2011 Keystone catalog is a collectors item now - Like old Sears catalogs.
