Happy to. I'll post a link so I don't hijack thread. Let's just say I used a philips screwdriver and most of the work was in the dark outside an auto parts store so I could run back in.

Two twelve ounce cans stack nicely. Easily able to fit two twelve packs. Juice bottles fit easily.

I think I'd have to choose between bringing beer or food with me if I had a 30L.

Are you happy with this size or do you wish you went with a bigger one?

Perfectly happy. Been camping for decades, and less is more. This has the power to cool while you consume, without taking up room. Can fit three days worth of perishables and enough beverages for two, just add more beverages as you go.

Just got back from my trip...

5 days, 1300 miles, 50'ish miles of hiking, 3 national parks, 1 national monument and 1 state park.
Arches NP, Canyonlands Island in the Sky, Capitol Reef NP, Little Wild Horse slot canyon and Natural Bridges NM.

Glad I got the larger 51L. I left in a rush (last minute) on Tuesday evening for Moab (10pm) and just threw all the stuff in there, no worry about organizing or putting things in smaller containers. Had juice, fruit, eggs, lettuce, meat, sausages.

It was awesome not hearing the extra sloshing of ice and/or dealing with ice, wet things coming out of the cooler, switching out ice, draining the water. The truck was only left overnight (longest duration) for maybe 8 hours before getting started, and it was cold out, but then again, I would always have the heat up in the truck. During the day it would reach temps of 90F inside the truck even with the windows cracked. The lowest I saw the voltage was 12.3v (had the fridge on the high voltage cutoff setting). The truck never had trouble starting, I am just running the stock battery and the shittybilt cover.

I got an E1 error once on the trip (for voltage issues), but it was because the 12V outlet got hit loose by my rubbermaid containers that were sitting in the seat next to it during some rocky terrain and baja driving. :bikewhoops: I kept the temp setting around 27, and it kept it cool.. highest I saw the temp on the thermometers was 33F before it kicked on, and some stuff was a bit on the frozen side. I tried to throw two ice cream sammiches in the bottom, but it wasnt quite cold enough for them to stay solid. :annoyed:

Thanks again for the group buy! Only future mod I'll probably do is a red light instead of the blue... its quite bright when its pitch black out.

I probably wont use the truck today, and it'll be warm here, so I'll see what kind of power usage I get, and I'll have it open for taking stuff out and cleaning it since something leaked a little in the big compartment.

Edit: and on a Tacoma review. If you decide to sleep in the front seat (its not too bad and I'm 6'. If you extend the headrest, dont use it as a bracing point for your head when you try and get out of your sleeping bag. That summovabish snapped the little plastic mounting bracket things. It still sits in there fine, just an issue if I want to raise it, and not have it wobble around. Might be able to glue the pieces back together, but only other way looks to be taking the seat apart (aka not happening).

*NOTE*: The ambient temps outside to cabinet were more real world than lab controlled after all. It was not a steady +70F as I had thought, there was a temp swing from +65F at night to a temporary spike of ~+82F during the day, most of the day was between +69F - +72F.

The results are in & it's really rather impressive regarding freezer temps. There was a one day delay in posting these results due to "life happens". Real world conditions in the post above this is probably a better example for refrigerator use than what my results were. Especially since my study was using 110VAC/60Hz household power.

The time it took to go from -06F to +32F was a few minutes over exactly 6 days or 144 hrs., so my calculations were off by almost double. There was another curiosity, there seems to be a frozen sweet spot. The temp remained at +19F for 30 hrs.

The results of the range from +33F to +50F were pretty close to the expected at 24 hrs.

It is good to know that I no longer really need a 2nd or dual battery. I'll probably still get one in the future, but it isn't a priority.

Tretiac30/Roman hasn't recently updated this thread with goings on with his associated group buy for a made to fit insulated travel jacket for the TB31, TB41 & TB51 models.

For my part I'm returning the shittybilt cover because of discovering just how inconvenient & in the way it was during my temperature study in the post above.

This morning the truck voltage was down at like 11.9v, the lowest is been. Just realized that it was on max mode instead of eco since probably when the plug came loose on my trip, doh!

    Hopefully that'll fix it.

Oh yeah, no sign that the voltage was low or that it had any issue, i just have a meter that I've been watching since the fridge arrived and hadn't seen it go that low yet.

Longest it has been unattended, parked it at 3pm yesterday. Temps inside the truck were 80-90s. It did get chilly last night, and is still in the 40s now, but after 18 hours, its at 12.2v. Fridge is set at 28 degrees. I probably wont be driving it for a while if at all today, so I'll check it once in a while to update, and get an idea for myself.

Edit, after 24 hours, temp inside the truck was 70, voltage at 12.1

Again, just OEM single battery, 51L fridge on eco mode and high cutoff.

I ended up buying the Newport Vessel's battery box since it could fit the Group 31 battery. The fit and finish is amazing, but in the end, it did NOT fit the Group 31 even after one of the associated said it would. It the process of me trying to make it work, I damaged the box. They are going to send me a new one free of charge, and refund me the cost of the box too since I did buy the larger battery that I do not have of use anymore. I am still dealing with them to see if they will somehow pay me back the used money. The group 31 battery is a yellowtop Optima, so ended up being around $260.

    Pretty annoyed.

I don't know if we need to start a Indel B Q&A thread but I think the way the manual is worded for fridge cutoff is wrong. I had mine set to high and the E1 error appeared when the voltage on my battery went to 12.3 volts. So to me that means what they says is cut on voltage is actually cut off. Anyone else experienced this? I have an ArkPak so it's pretty easy for me to test with without impacting my primary battery. I'm going to switch the battery setting to medium and see what happens.

Does anyone have concern of it being at an angle when being offroad. To simulate this I moved mine at an angle while it was plugged in. Curious it is relatively quite in all angles except one. As though the pump starts to contact something. It's got me wondering about mounting it sideways instead of front to back. It doesn't like to be picked up from the display side.
That's the side I would have intended to face towards the front of my truck. So whenever I'm going up something steep it's suspect it will make the same.
Angling it sideways seams to have affect. Anyone notice this yet or thoughts?

Mine has only thrown the e1 code when the connector got knocked loose. Mine is set on High cutoff, and it's always been on. Truck voltage has been under 12 before, typically is at 12.1-12.2.

the newport vessels power center box threw out the E1 too after 2 days of use in desert, but when i checked the battery LED monitor, it showed 4 bars (full charge still). It could be the power box though.. sigh the never ending problems

Mine was the voltage for sure. As soon as I plugged the ArkPak in to charge from my vehicle the fridge turned back on. I plan to set it to medium and with a full charge run the fridge at 28 degrees to see how long the 55ah battery lasts.
