I luv my 09 Taco. I leased it first with no intentions of purchasing, but I couldn't part with it at the end of my lease.

Both you guys have a potential "forever" truck. You'll only ever trade it someday if you "want" a new one, not because you need one.

I'm with you with the bells and whistles. Basic is best.

What do you think of the BFG KO2's? I think they really make the truck.

Anyone here want to come in Thursday Friday or Saturday to our Tacoma event? Thursday, Toyota Canada will be present, and Saturday the local radio station will be present. It's not meant to be a sales event, however if someone wants to buy one, I'll be sure to offer my assistance .

Here's a short clip of the Tacoma Off-road Course from earlier today at Guelph Toyota. It sure was wet and muddy. It's a good job the TRD off-road package is protected with skid plates because by the end of the day the ruts were getting so deep and the clearance was getting less as the day progressed. Many more vids to come.

    :mudding:
It was some of the best fun I've ever been paid to do while at work!
I'm tempted to upgrade my Taco, but I don't think I'm ready to make payments again lol...

    I'm new here

From the Toronto (Scarborough / Pickering) area

Just picked up my '12 DCLB and I fucking love it!

Hoping to score some Side steps and a tonneau cover soon, and probably a remote starter.

Can anyone vouch for any cost efficient brands?

Anybody find that the long whipper antenna on te fender gets in the way when scraping the windshield?

Does anybody use a stubby antenna?

I use the stock whip .. it doesn't get in the way of my scraping (long reach telescopic-scraper) so i don't have personal experience with the stubbies - but what i've read, the range of them is significantly decreased/more signal loss.

I've had stubbies on previous cars - and never had an issue on the major FM stations. The XM runs off the shark fin.

But maybe a telescopic scraper is the answer.

Since I am getting ALL of my information for my truck from this forum, I better get in here and make some noise :D

I live in North Bay. Just bought my Tacoma and went with a 2nd gen brand new. I just could not convince myself to spend the extra money on the things in the 2016. Like the crawl system, and multi terrain select, heated seats. It all felt like fluff to me that I did'nt need.

I wanted a truck that had been vetted for 10 years. :)

So stoked for this snow to go away and let me get into the bush with my new toy!

It is 100% stock right now, just waiting for my delivery today for a few pieces of armor.

Lower control arm skid plates, and electric locker motor guard.

I have all the items for moving my diff breather up higher, just to cold to bother doing it yet :D
