No. I joined for school and the va loan. I took a 6 year hitch for living in San diego for a year with my now wife.I'm extending a year for the overseas posting. I also hate this job and have no chance of switching rates. Plus me and my wife are talking about having a kid (or 3). And to me there is no way I could have a kid and do deployments. Grew up without a dad and won't do that to my kids. So I'm going to get a job in fire or ems. I was an emt in California but couldn't land a job. So I will try again and finish my school!

Could be worse, my wheel almost fell off today. Bad bearing... Again. This time on the other side.

So my engine problems have just up and gone but now my starter is going, my wheel bearing grenaded today leaving me stranded in oak harbor so I'm staying with a friend til I can fix it tomorrow, and something is wrong with my brakes. I'm getting pretty sick of my truck just randomly breaking shit all of a sudden. I'm heavily considering selling my truck at this point. Things just will not stop breaking.

Damn dude. One thing after another. Luckily I swapped my wheel bearing out before it grenaded. I probably drove on it for around 2-3k miles with no issues. Jist a groan/humm from the bearing hating life. How many miles does you have on it before it failed? I got mine from bamatoy as a complete assembly and it was an easy job. I believe he offers a 12month/12k mile warranty but I'd have to check on that.

Did you ever do a compression check on your engine?

If I was having all the problems you were, I'd fix it up enough to trade it in to a dealership and get something else.

It's weird just how many problems you are having. Seems like it's usually just one or two things and not everything

I moved the wrecked '05 I've been working on tonight and the dreaded cylinder 6 misfire code came up, I really hope it's not a head gasket! :(

Yeah I've done a bearing before. The last one lasted a month before it started to really go. This one took like two days. And I have 121k miles. Didn't do compression yet as my engine is running just fine now.
