I have an old school buddy who lives up in the County now and he sent me a text saying that they had a foot of snow and whiteout conditions when he went to work at 8.

 

If you decide you want your license let me know, I can guide you in the right direction.

 

I think the class is in Peabody

 

Classes are all over, but I know people who teach them and do it well.

 

If you can get a class with Raymond Barnes! He is AWESOME!

Iv been there a few times take the trails from new Portland over. Wish I got to go this year

 

It's really nice there and Rangeley actually has some decent night life

 

Especially during the tourist seasons. Off-peak it's kind of dead, though.
Funnily enough, the guy who owns my favorite local gun shop also owns Pine Tree Frosty up in Rangeley. I didn't realize it until I stopped in for an ice cream while the GF and I were driving through town last summer and he was standing behind the counter.

 

It's a little hike, but D&L guns in RI is where I like to go to. Good prices on ammo and other goodies. Just have to get the guns shipped to a Ma gun shop.

Got home yesterday and put them back on. I did pull the battery to get some wiggle room, pushed the washer fluid reservoir over on the other side. Worked like a charm!

 

yea pretty good. We I was younger we used to go to skowhegan we called it skow-a-Vegas. As younger kids we never had any issues going places.

Now I prefer the Maine hut trails cabins. They are pretty fun lots of like minded people you rent a whole bunk room and they serve beers. It's pretty much like camping light you need to hike in or sled in.

 

The Maine Huts & Trails network is actually pretty awesome. They're a great way to get people outdoors in the winter.

Have to check it out just quite a drive though. I love beacon trading post in Bourne for the cool stuff he has but everything is expensive as he is more a collector than business man.

For normal purchases I always go to the powder horn in Hyannis. One of my good friends works there. He's given friends of mine I send up there very good prices. I know a lot of people have been rubbed the wrong way by the owner due to his demeanor. But Greg has been running the show more as of late. If you go in there and see the younger guy early 20s tell him you heard from Fran that he spends to much time in the shop to finish his jeep project.

Hes great to deal with I got a few pairs of Costa del Mars from him for me and a few guys I work with. Mine died at work he managed to get me a free replacement pair shipped up from Costa.

 

Speaking of winter, I heard it's going to be in the 60s next week

 

Hope so it's 19 here and snowing tomorrow. I'm ready for sailing season to start.
