    bombardier super scoopers? i got buzzed by some of them when i lived in AK. bad fire not far from where I lived. I was about 1/4 mile from the ocean. everything in my house started rattling and I could hear an airplane engine LOUDLY flying over full throttle, I was thinking that a personal craft was having issues as I was sort of in line with the approach for a small air strip. i ran outside thinking I'd be seeing a plane going down. saw one big yellow thing flying away, climbing, when two came up behind me and flew right over my head. I remember ducking (not really necessary but was more instinct to do so) and waving at the pilots, they waved back. They were heading back to the fire and had just done a pass over the ocean to pick up more water hence the low altitude.

    good movie but yes, cheesy

    and who you calling old?!?!

    also, not a pilot but I love flying. had an opportunity to get my license while I was in AK and it would have only cost me gas money. I passed it up :frusty: so stupid!!!
    spent many hours cruising around in the in-laws cessna 177b

    Watched a couple of F-22s dogfight over Death Valley today. I don't recall the rules but I thought it was a no no to fly over National Parks. Maybe just a NLT altitude?
