Feel assured, every one of us feels the same way. Sure would be nice if it were just something they could write a patch for, and fix it interfaced.

All concerns aside, pray they have a DEFINITIVE fix for this, not a "we think this might be a answer". That ups the nightmare factor! LOL!

I went over 400 miles and three fillups with no resets. Yesterday I had a reset. I have been shutting truck off at fill ups and then reset Trip A after starting. Thought I had a fix no such luck. Toyota doesn't have a fix either !!!!! Disgusted !!!!!

Yesterday I noticed that my saved phone numbers were reset. Has anyone noticed this happening after the trip meters reset?

2nd trip reset happened on 3/1/16, right after i filled the gas (it was around 10% left) and turned on the truck.
I guess i will try to remember to take video next time. :-(

I know, it's a pain. Still encourage everyone to call Toyota customer service, and report it. Keep the heat up.

Just picked my truck up from having the odometer/trip meter module(whatever you want to call it) changed out with an updated module. It was a week long project because when they change it out they have to send it out and have it matched to the one they take out so the mileage is the same. They believe this is the issue. The rep from corporate Toyota was there to take step by step pics of the tech working on my truck to pass along to the other dealerships on how to do this. And from what I see my truck went unscathed. Cant really say if its the fix I have only drove about 20 miles since picking it up. My buddy that's the service manager says so far there has only been 9 formal complains across the US . So if its happening get ahold of corporate or at least hit up your dealer so theres record of it...Good Luck!!!!

We, collectively thank you for this update. Very glad to hear it went well. ISFA being the fix; fingers and toes are crossed, time will tell.
    Now then....
9 formal complaints. I'm stunned. What constitutes a "formal complaint"? Because I for one, called, and got a case number, and from this thread, I was under the impression there was a lot more doing what I did, and I would have surmised anyone calling and getting as far as getting a case number would be a "formal complaint." .

Yeah that's what I would take as a "formal complaint" as well. Just going by what the service manager relayed that the factory rep that was there told him.

    Howdy. Chip here.
Can you take a little time to expand on your Trip Meter repair? What did they do? Were you available during any part of the project, or see your truck during disassembly? etc.. Very interested, as I'm confident I'll want to have this issue taken care of; I use trip meters extensively. Unscathed? That sounded encouraging. (Though they used the phraseology "believe this is the issue".... )
I think you were in a fortunate position to know someone of authority at your dealership. Whatever the case, way to go on having it addressed finally!!!
    Thanks for your time.

Sorry I was not available during any of the repair, I was actually in an ICU bed at the hospital the whole time they had the truck. But when I picked the truck up the service manager did speak with me and said it was a very simple repair and that the module "comes right out" once the dash bezel is removed. And I guess time will tell if this was the fix. And I looked outside and inside as I do whenever the dealership has my vehicle for damage when I pick it up and from what I can tell no issues what so ever.

Thanks and yes, I have just called 800-331-4331 this morning and was advised to take it to the Toyota dealership.
I wonder if this "bug" exists only on certain trucks with the early build dates, say before January 2016. My truck has a build date of 9/15.
