Anyone have some advice on fixing these problems? I have talked to a few helpful guys but I just want to have more ideas so if one doesn't work I have a back up plan.

The problem looks like the shell is not secured to the pickup bed and flexing caused the crack, or the bed is flexing (and flexed at the time of the picture) causing the crack. First I would see what is causing the cap to flex, fix that, then repair the crack from the inside. I had a Brama ABS shell on a F350 crew cab 4x4 - 8 foot bed, the flexing of the bed was so bad the I had the original shell and a replacement one both crack just like yours, Brama ended up refunding my money, let me keep the last shell, I ended up using flexible silicone to seal the gap, it worked.

Not sure how thick shell is but could you grind recess in that area and mend it with some sort of plate? Then bondo, sand and paint.

Hey guys, so I'm the third owner that I know of. The previous one I bought it from took it off when get got the truck with the shell. I think it might've been involved in an accident cus the truck has some minor dents on that side. As far as the crack it isn't super deep. The shell has the outer smooth area then about an 1/8 in of the way down you finally see the fibers of the fiberglass.

    The window frame I'm
Hoping I can just bend back to fill the gab.

From the looks of it, you may have to actually open the crack some more, push the side in and then recess a plate to join the two together. When I say open the crack some more, I mean cut some of the material out to be able to push it together enough to close the gap on the window frame. I may be totally off on this but that is what I see.

Oh okay that makes sense. I was tempted to see if I can bend the metal back to normal after I take the whole assembly off but I like having an other plan of attack. Thanks man for you input, really glad you seem to know a lot!

Not an expert by any means but I will try to repair if I can possibly do it myself. It takes a community to solve problems sometime. That's why I like this site so much.Good people on here, for the most part. Hope you get your cap repaired.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
