How the hell does the chrome piece come off? I know there are some melt points that need to be ground off but where are they?

Grill is off but I must be blind.

I don't really see the need to separate it either. Maybe in case the glue runs?? I have the custom car grills mesh insert and their installation video looks very simple but they separate the chrome first.

I have the homertaco mesh kit. But you should just see little chrome pieces coming thru the back. They look like little thumbnails atleast on my 11 tgey are. I would think the same for the 13.

I have a spare grill sitting around to Satoshi, I think I have been putting it off longer than @snowtank to get it done.

I think I picked up the spare grill 2 years ago. Maybe 3. I was still having kids pop out. I thought I would have more time back then.

No one makes a kit for a 98, we are forsaken. So I need to just buy some mesh and get at it. I hate the chrome on my truck now.

Grill then I will de-chrome the mirrors.

Yeah I see all those. Looks to me like if you grind those off the two pieces won't go back on very snug when it's re assembled.

Oh I didn't know you got yours already. Sweet! I love mine but they are too small for turns. They'll do until I retrofit and go switchback leds

Well shit dilemma time then. The way I have to trim the inner piece it looks like I have to have the chrome piece off.

SUCCESS!!!!! No need to grind them. I started at one end with a couple screwdrivers and finesse and was able to get all the tabs pushed and the chrome popped right off.
