I right foot brake. Put the left foot on when it wasn't stopping. To lazy to retype but here is the acceleration explanation. I am positive I wasn't on the gas and the brake at the same time.

I honestly wish it was that. I would happily be the idiot in this situation if it meant my truck was 100% safe.

I'm thinking just the accelerator. Shit happens and the human mind, well lets say its all about how the individual perceived the event in question. I have made program changes for example then came back 5 minutes later, looked at the code, and said "there is no frikkin way I wrote that" but I'm the only programmer so....you get the idea.

    Wow that's wild.

However, I did have something similar happen with my 2011 4Runner. I remember the ABS was really aggressive on that vehicle. Then if I hit a bump, and hit the brake pedal at the same time or just after the bump, my brake pedal would loose all pressure, and go to the floor. When that happened, I released the pedal and stepped on it again, and the pressure came back instantly. I took mine to the dealer, and as usual, they couldn't reproduce it. I think Toyota had the same problem with the Prius and there was a recall, but for what I'm not sure.

What were the conditions prior to pulling into your garage? Was it hot? Did you hit any bumps?

Doesn't the OR also have a beefier ABS system? Perhaps they didn't put enough brake fluid in, the way they shorted the transmission fluid on some Tacoma's with the tow package. I would check that.
Did the dealer check the fluid and make sure the system was bled?

If it was me, I'd check the fluid, then take it for a test drive and stomp on the brakes. (I'm not an expert).

I wouldn't be able to ever feel comfortable driving that truck. I'd go into that meeting with an attitude geared towards making a deal to get out of that truck at a fair price to everyone. I think if you play your cards right and want another Taco you could make this work. I do not think you should have to pay, but realistically the fight may be worth your sanity. Good luck man.

I don't touch the accelerator while pulling into the garage. I idle in. There isn't enough clearance to get into position going any faster than idle. My foot is on the brake the whole time as even idle is to fast to guarantee I don't drive over the 6x6 that marks my position.

Had to be a bubble in the hydraulic system that worked itself out. I have had this happen working on motorcycles. There is no other way this could have happened without leak and just returned back to normal.

Truck was cool. It snowed that day. Drove home just fine and parked on the road. Cleared of the drive way and sidewalks. Pulled into garage. Truck sat for 45min give or take. Brakes worked fine while turning around on the road and pulling into the drive way. If they would have failed right away I would have thought ABS sensor had ice on it.

This sounds like a similar event that happens often on motorcycles with ABS. Since often you are only braking with the front brake on a motorcycle, if you ride over bumps in that period which cause the front wheel to lose contact with the ground (or rear wheel if you an inexperienced/poor rider using only rear brake) the ABS senses a lock up and releases the brake pressure and you have zero braking - assuming no linked brakes. I suspect the OP would have better braking had he lost all power rather than what I would interpret as a false 4-wheel lock up response from the ABS.

Well, now it sounds like you had snow on your tires from rolling into the garage and skidded on that .

Brake wouldn't go to the floor and ABS would have kicked

Sounds like the ABS did kick in as he had no brakes. ABS on ice is not like ABS on dry or wet pavement. I've never locked up the brakes on this truck on ice so I don't know how the pedal would react. It may feel like it's going to the floor as you won't get a response.

You are not over-reacting. New generation of the truck, this is the sort of thing people get worried about when buying the first round of a total remake. There could easily be a defect, which I guess is pretty obvious since you lost the brakes, in your truck... don't trust it...it's not worth it.

A friend had a Chevy 1500 that would do the same thing at slow (less than 5mph) speeds. I drove it one time and it freaked me out when it did that. Pedal went almost all the way to the floor and I had both feet on the brake too. Once it finally stopped, I was able to repeat the problem. I told him about it and he said it was a problem with the ABS. He pulled the ABS fuse and it never did it again. I'm not saying it's definitely the same problem with your truck, but it may be...

Did you hit the 6x6 this time before trying to brake? This could possibly cause the ABS to skip like others have experienced with bumps.

Didn't skid. Positive of that. Also the peddle went to the floor. I have felt the ABS activate in the truck and this was different. There was no resistance in the peddle.

No. I was able to stop before I touched the 6x6. If this would have happened after hitting the 6x6 my truck would have been in my living room.

When I had a wheel sensor go bad on my Silverado it did the same thing until the ABS light came on and disabled ABS. I pulled the fuse until I had it replaced. This was a very similar feeling to that.
