Alright guys, guide me to what parts to go for and how easy/hard is this to do? I might as well do both I guess.

Get either factory replacements or greasable Moog brand. Need to do mine they are rattling around and clunking.
It's my understanding that you'll need an allen wrench and an open ended wrench.
There's a write up on here I know but I can't 'fing find it at the moment.
Oh and I personally wouldn't listen to the dudes that will chime in and say "you don't need your swaybar anyway take it off"

Do you have links to the Moog or factory? Yeah, I'll keep the swaybar since that's how it was built. I'll see if I can find the write up as well.

Just remove the sway bar and toss it in the recycle bin or scrap.

You can go buy the new rubber at NAPA . In the picture posted did you remove the bolt holding the top of the sway bar or did the rust get it?

If the current sway bar links you have are salvageable you can just buy new bushings from NAPA press the old ones out on your vice and press in new ones.

I don't have the tools to press the old ones. I'd just like a link for new ones that go with my truck. I can't seem to find the right ones online from what they look like on my truck.

I lost my passenger sway bar link within the first year of ownership. Dealership would not replace, said its due to offroading. I wasn't going to pay the 200$ for a new endlink. I just took it off, haven't had it on in over 2 years now, I still drive my truck the same and dont notice it not being there.

If you drive it like a sports car, yes you will want it, but if you drive it like truck, you would be surprised at how useless it is.

Edit: If you drive it right now, since yours is Disconnect (broken), you can test to see if you notice a difference.

Chopped off my sway bar mount to make room for the LCE headers I bought. Happens when you buy LCE headers for a 4runner .
When I put on coil overs the front felt much better and offroad is great. Only regret is heavy bed loads cause some body sway at highway speeds (70mph+). Might grab a used 4runner rear swaybar and make it work for the rare full bed load.

the "brand" Ultra-8 that is 10 dollars less, isn't a "Brand" really so much as it is a company that ONLY buys overstock OEM/OES parts. They remove all the original branding (yes they grind off stampings and castings) and resell the parts to NAPA. their thought process is, when you buy toyota, youre buying the toyota name as well as the quality of the part. if the toyota part doesn't have any name branding on it, people will still buy a quality part for a decent markup. So Ultra-8, a subsidiary of the Altrom Group, generally has nothing but OEM/OES quality parts for sale.

Yes, I used to work at NAPA and I loved it. was there for over 7 years. Left cause of a snotty new owner that changed too many things... Anywho, I remember when GPC, owners of the NAPA name, first introduced Altrom. I was pretty amazed that we were getting this kind of supplier.

Here's a cool story. Almost immediately after we began selling altrom, my assistant manager at the time broke a wheel hub on his jetta and ordered an OEM/OES replacement from the local VW dealer. Just after receiving it he noticed Altrom had a part for sale with the same VW part number, so he ordered that as well for shits n giggles. When the Altrom part came in, he put them next to the VW part and they were both the EXACT same thing. The box, packaging, everything! Except the Altrom supplied part was less than half the price of the one from the dealer.

Altroms a very good company, Ultra-8 as well. If you can, go with Altrom parts before dealer. Theyre generally that good.

If youre interested, Altrom has an online catalog you can use. Put any of their part numbers into NAPAs website for pricing.
